This photograph of the bride and groom was taken at the church gates of the beautiful village church of Saint Mary's in the tiny North Yorkshire village of Lastingham. This ancient and historic church is simply stunning, one of the most beautiful we have had the honour to work inside. There are so many wonderful little churches around the country which sadly don't seem to get the attention they deserve.
Saint Mary's was a new venue for us and one of the first weddings here for a long time. It was wonderful to photograph this happy wedding at lovely this church which hadn't seen a wedding for over 20 years, but the bride, groom and wedding party more than made up for this with an absolutely wonderful wedding service followed by a wedding reception in the Forest and Vale Hotel in nearby Pickering.
