We always like to arrive early when undertaking wedding photography as we feel the getting ready photographs are as much a part of the brides wedding day as the rest of the images we supply. It is a wonderful part of the wedding day to see the bride and her bridesmaids interacting as they all get ready together. We will capture as many of the details of hair, makeup, dresses and shoes as well as the giving and receiving of any gifts that takes place.
In this image from a wedding at the Kenwood Hall Hotel the bridesmaids fasten the back of a Wedding dress shortly before the wedding ceremony. Sometimes the mother of the bride undertakes this task, sometimes it is a sister and sometimes a bridesmaid. There are many happy times during this part of the day, conversations of times past, adventures together and often stories from the mother of the bride about her daughter as a young child which frequently result in some squirming on the part of the bride! We love to capture the fun and laughter of the conversations as they unfold as all the brides party relax together.
