Undertaking wedding photography allows us to visit some magnificent venues and access buildings we would never normally see and find some places we never knew existed! One such place is Woodthorpe Hall near Holmesfield, Derbyshire. This magnificent hall was the setting for this wedding reception following the couples wedding at the JG Graves Woodland Discovery Centre in Ecclesall Woods, Sheffield earlier in the day. In addition to visiting this hall for the first time, this day provided us with our first wedding photography assignment at the JG Graves Woodland Discovery Centre in Ecclesall Woods, Sheffield.
The wedding reception was magnificent and taking place in the grounds of such a magnificent Derbyshire hall just added to the feel of the day. We have photographed weddings all around the country, some are more memorable than others and this is certainly one we will never forget. The couple had no less than 3 wedding cakes catering for various tastes and dietary requirements of the guests and even an extremely large pork pie! We were blessed with some beautiful weather throughout the day and coupled with the magnificent surroundings and some amazing company it made for a very special and memorable day out doing what we enjoy, photographing weddings!
