The groomsmen and pageboy are ready and waiting to spring into action and are in possession of the all-important wedding rings for this Ecclesall Woods wedding. The images on these pages of this wedding album are from a wonderful summer wedding at the J G Graves Woodland Discovery Centre in Ecclesall Woods which are located on the outskirts of Sheffield.
Shortly before this series of pictures was taken, the wedding guests had taken their places in the ceremony room, the groom had seen the registrar and had gone to join the rest of the wedding guests. The groomsmen and the pageboy now wait patiently for the arrival of the bride before they make their way to the ceremony room to join the groom and guests while the bride takes her turn with the registrar. These photographs are all part of the story of the day and we take as many pictures as we can at a wedding to ensure as much of this story can be retold at a later day.
Ecclesall Woods are a truly ancient place which at some time in the past were enclosed to become a private deer park. With the help of a donation from J G Graves, the woods were purchased for the city, for use as a recreational area for everyone. What a wonderful gift this was to not only the people of Sheffield, but visitors from far and wide.
