Following their wedding ceremony at the J G Graves Discovery Centre and some photographs in Ecclesall Woods afterwards, the bride and groom wanted some photographs in a couple of locations in Derbyshire. The first location they had chosen was the Surprise View overlooking the Hope Valley with wonderful views of the villages of Hathersage and Hope and the hills beyond.
We always recommend to our couples trying to find some time during the wedding day for us to take some relaxed portraits of them. This allows them sometime away from the hustle and bustle of the wedding venue and some time to relax together. Weddings can be busy and very intense and this few minutes for our couple together and away from the rest of the guests can be really helpful and relaxing for them. This time also allows us to take some photographs of the bride and groom in a relax situation. It is preferable for the couple to be interruption free during this quick photo shoot so they can be happy and relaxed together and with the world in general.
It was wonderful to take our couple to the Surprise View in Derbyshire to capture series of images for them on their wedding day. The pictures above are of them walking from their wedding car up to the viewing point overlooking this spectacular valley. This is a lovely place for wedding day pictures, one we would like to use frequently provided our couples are amenable and the wedding is not too far away from here. From here we moved on to Padley Gorge just a short distance away for some more photographs of the bride and groom together.
