These album pages are from a wedding we photographed in 2018 at the stunning Woodthorpe Hall, Holmesfield in Derbyshire. The pages show photographs of not one but a total of three wedding cakes! The cakes were to cater to all tastes and some allergy requirements, I'm sure they all tasted as nice as they looked! In addition to the wedding cakes the pictures on the pages also illustrate some of the details inside the tipi in which the wedding reception took place including the place settings, flowers and the general layout of the tipi for this lovely summer wedding reception.
This was the first wedding we had photographed at Woodthorpe Hall and also our first tipi wedding. The day was full of firsts for us. It was also the first time we had photographed a wedding ceremony at the J G Graves Woodland Discovery Centre in Ecclesall Woods on the outskirts of Sheffield. New things can make our day more interesting, provided they are for the right reasons! One thing which is always a new element to wedding day photography is meeting new people. We have always had some communication with our brides and grooms prior to a wedding day but we also get to meet nice, new people which make the days even more of a thrill!
