This wedding album image is of the full wedding party following this Kenwood Hall Hotel wedding. Of the family formal photographs that we take on a wedding day, this is probably one of the most important to take if the bride and groom wish to have a more restrained number of pictures form this part of their wedding day. We usually work through a list of images that we have previously sent to the couple for approval, these start with parents, siblings, grandparents, extended family, friends from both sides and usually have the group picture taken in the middle. We work in a way that builds the group from one side of the family upwards (usually the bride) until we have the complete family group for that half of the couple, then add in everyone else for the full group picture. At this point we can release the first group (brides’ family) and carry on with the other group (grooms’ side) thereby not tying everyone up throughout the whole session. We do though try to keep these as brief as possible to avoid restlessness in the ranks.
The Kenwood Hall Hotel in the suburbs of Sheffield is a fantastic wedding venue with lots of wonderful places to take photographs. As the image above shows, the grounds offer some excellent opportunities for group pictures too. This isn’t the only place we have taken the group photograph outside at Kenwood Hall and we have even taken them inside when the weather has been poor.
