I never cease to be amazed by some of the stunning things we are able to not only imagine but also create as a species. These fantastic ruby slippers seen on the pages of this wedding album from a wedding at Whitley Hall Hotel are an excellent example of just how we can take an idea and turn it into something so stunning and beautiful. I would imagine the original idea for ruby slippers comes from the ruby slippers worn by Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, but to see some actually made as real, wearable shoes rather than just film props is even more fantastic.
And the amazing design of these fantastic shoes doesn't end with the uppers, the soles are something special too complete with some beautiful, happy looking lobsters underneath! As a child from the very beige 1970's such things would have been almost unheard of during our childhoods, even if they were for an ultra-special occasion like a wedding day! And long may this continue, wonderful warm and happy things to make a wonderful, warm and happy day even better!
