This photograph of the bride and groom was taken towards the end of our photographic coverage of their wedding day at the Royal Victoria Hotel in Sheffield. This is a beautiful hotel only a stone’s throw away from the centre of the city. The hotel was originally built to service the Victoria Railway Station which stood only a few metres away from the hotel. Being a railway hotel on such a prestigious line, no expense was spared in its construction which is both large and elegant. The whole area which was once part of the beating industrial heart of the city has many beautiful ex-industrial buildings. Nearby there is also the old Sheffield Canal Basin which is now known as the Victoria Quays. The quays are only a couple of minutes’ walk away and another wonderful location for photographing a couple as part of their wedding day photography.
There are so many places in and around the Royal Victoria Hotel to take pictures during a wedding day. The inside of the hotel is spectacular and spacious with an enormous and stunning ballroom as well as a choice of two stunning staircases which are perfect for capturing artistic pictures of the bride and groom as well as other group photographs or the whole wedding party.
