Peak Edge Hotel in Derbyshire wedding photography on a very cold Valentines day back in 2015. The grounds are lovely with this wonderful bridge over the pond making for some interesting photo opportunities such as this one of the newly married couple allowing for the capture of a wonderful reflection!
The Peak Edge Hotel is a lovely venue we hadn't come across before this wedding and one we hope to photograph at again many times. The hotel off res everything you could want for a wedding and more. The bridal suite is stunning and very spacious, it is a wonderful room for the bride and her bridesmaids to get ready in and is an equally wonderful place to photograph in.
The room is light and bright but most importantly the light is directional with some wonderful drapes allowing us to control the light, a very important part of image creation.
The direction of the light forms an important part of any image and helps to lend depth and texture to the composition.
The Peak Edge Hotel is a stunning wedding venue not too far from Chesterfield, Chatsworth House and Matlock, and quite close to our base in Sheffield. This wedding was the most tremendous fun with some serious laughs along the way but it was also so nice to see the tremendous camaraderie between the groom and his groomsmen, all lifelong friends and all play rugby together.
